The name of the man in the video is Mikey. A one man orchestra of strings crafted with what he calls “Loop science”. With the use of his Dr. Rhythm D3 Boss Drum Machine, Akai Head Rush Loop Pedal, Fender Stratocaster Guitar, and a variety of other guitar FX pedals, Mikey achieves layers upon layers of melodies over a steady rhythm tapped by his fingers. The performance takes place at The Duke of Marlborough in Mississauga, one of the most contributing venues to the local scene. Watch Mikey as he explains his process and performs the song “Home,” this is definitely one of my favorites.
