Not your typical night at the library.
Tonight wasn’t a quiet one at the Mississauga library as The Junction rocked out just outside of it while performing live for the Beating Heart Festival. You could hear the music all the way from the Square One mall echoing through the surrounding condos. The weather couldn’t have been better for a free outdoor show. People of all ages took advantage of the perfect night, some sprawling on the grass, while others danced the night away as the up and coming band from Brampton stole the show.
As the night got darker, the band only got better. The Junction’s chill yet funky sound was complemented by their passion and gratefulness. Unlike your conventional cocky front man, Brent Jackson, thanked the crowd repeatedly and gave his kudos to openers, Escalade and others who they will be touring with this August. “If any of you have friends in Thunder Bay,” comments bassist, Matt Jameson “We’ll see you there!”
