The first-ever Manifesto Festival of urban Music and Art took place throughout Toronto on September 20-23, 2007. Some of the venues that hosted the event include the Whippersnapper Gallery, The Berkeley Church, The Supermarket, The Gladstone Hotel, The Revival, and Nathan Philip Square. The four-day citywide festival showcased a diverse array of talent ranging from graphity artists, break dancers and music artists. The Manifesto is a non-profit, grassroots organization working to unite and energize Toronto’s urban music and arts community and find innovative ways of working together toward common goals. It has launched a new movement towards collaborative promotions of Canadian Talent in Urban Arts. It is without a doubt, that the organization will thrive for many more years to come with the continued support of the Canadian government and its people.
