So i’m in Valence for the remainder of the week, still trying to adjust to a new bed and a difficult diet change. I have a habit of eating a minimum of 3 meals usually 4 to 5 meals a day and I’m only permitted to eat twice per day here…. otherwise I’ll “spoil my appetite”. I suppose that’s why I’m feeling weak and under the weather… it’s times like these were I feel couch surfing is a bad idea considering you are to conform to the lifestyle of your host. Nonetheless, beggars can’t be choosers so I’m done complaining. Valence has been a little chaotic with my tour date having to be rescheduled but everything works out in the end so as they say “keep moving”.
Oh and before I forget, it appears that my ukelele song “Cuba” is a favorite over on this side of the world too. I managed to showcase the live video of myself with the ukelele and Reid Hendry on cajon at Clinton’s Tavern in Toronto and my friends here have pushed me to buy a ukelele for the shows I have yet to play. I suppose it was a dumb move for me not to bring my ukelele to France… it is after all a diamond in the rough… singer/songwriters with a guitar are a dime a douzen, but a catchy ukelele song is mind blowing. That being said, I dropped 70 euros on an electric ukelele which is far better than the one I have at home (which isn’t electric) I just hope I can bring it back with me.
