HIT THE LIGHTS EP REVIEW

First things first. How cool is this album cover?

Coast to Coast is the latest release from Ohio based, Triple Crown, pop punk band, Hit The Lights.

The EP features 2 new songs, 2 covers of songs by bands they were “influenced by”, and 2 acoustic versions of previously released HTL tunes.

I was introduced to HTL a few years ago by a friend named Duncan and haven’t been able to stop listening to them since. I know a lot of people are aware of this band but for those of you who don’t, it’s pop punk done to the max, please check this band out. The lyrics are incredibly real and provoking and the drums are pretty dope as well.

HTL have played a bunch of shows with this week’s punk rock heroes and my good friends, THE SWELLERS! (Signed this week to Fueled By Ramen Records)

The cover of Further Seems Forever’s “Snowbirds and Townies” actually kills me its so good!

The release of  the Coast to Coast EP  (download only) is the perfect way for these guys to bridge between their last LP “Skip School, Start Fights and whatever the band has planned next. (likely another huge LP)

You may recognize some of this bands tunes from hit TV’s “The Hills” if you have a girlfriend or are down with chicks.

Hit The Lights are currently doing the entire Warped tour all summer long, so grab your Warped ticket and check them out. Last year they didn’t make it into Canada to play the Barrie show. (or two years ago)?

The last time Hit The Lights played T.O was last year with Forever the conservative kids and Cobra Starship @ The Opera House.
